Space Needle

This week I got to enjoy the lovely sight of the Space Needle. I have had been to Washington many times as a kid but I never got to go see the Space Needle. This time I told my mom rain or sunshine we are going. It was the most spectacular thing I have seen. It is so well kept and looks amazing near and far. The Space Needle is a landmark in Seattle, Washington that was built in 1962. It stands 605 feet high, 138 feet wide, and it weighs 9,550 tons. When the Space Needle was built they wanted to make it strong enough to withstand high winds, large earthquakes, and they put several lightening rods on it. There is an observation deck that you can buy tickets for that is 520 feet off the ground and gives a spectacular view of Seattle. The elevator itself is a ride to the top it travels 10 MPH and can get you to the observation deck in 41 seconds. It is a wonderful sight to see and I recommend it to everyone. Here are some pictures from my adventure.
